Cozy Exploration Series - Conversation System Preview
This is just a preview for the conversation system. I'm trying to make it as dynamic as possible so it's gonna take a bit. I can see one limitation in this right now- that being the maximum limit of having four choices, which I don't think should be a problem. I'm also adding support for tags (not the Unity ones, I mean generic), which allow us to do things like mark conversations as complete, count the number of times interacted etc. so that we can make more interesting NPC conversations and make our world more lively!

This is a preview of a main menu system I made inspired from Metro 2033. I couldn't work with Playmaker in Unity 6 ( some bug probably ) so accidentally bumped into Visual Scripting. Let me know if anyone is interested in learning the built in visual scripting system. Its kinda interesting..

Wow... can't wait :)
Cool learning Video, thanks.
It's nice to see more PM + Unity dedicated channels. I'll begin kicking mine off again in a few weeks. You have a new sub
Thank you! And all the best to your channel! Subbed.. I have a lot to learn in 3D ✨
Weekend learning 😇 Thank you...
Im glad! I was thinking of making tutorials on how to slowly transition into C# as well. I'll probably try to make a series for that after this. Also when I was editing the tutorials I felt that its not like other tutorials (idk if its in a good way or bad way) probably because my videos aren't scripted and I take a bit more time to explain things. Is that the case or is there any area that needs improvement? I would love to hear any feedback on the way of explaining, whether its understandable or about what can be better.. it would be super helpful to me..
@@gameswithfrank I like this kind of videos, showing full process without skipping any steps or taking granted as viewer know basic staff. Make long videos if it's possible, & C# series along with this series. Do you think Playmaker 2.0 will release this month ! Because Playmaker only supports 1x free update. & Playmaker 2.0 will be a paid upgrade, so lots of people are holding their Playmaker purchase.
Thank you for the feedback! I had similar thoughts about it... I'm totally not upto date with the Playmaker stuff 🥲 I didnt even know that the 2.0 will be a thing till you mentioned haha.. I'm pretty sure itll be a big upgrade if they do it though
That being said. I just looked into it.. it looks so good!!! I can't wait. Check this post out : discussions.unity.com/t/playmaker-visual-scripting-for-unity/432306/3499
@@gameswithfrank 😇 Yes, what's your thoughts on uNode Pro! Playmaker vs uNode Pro - Pro Cons

@@3dsteveo765 You're welcome!
Take care Brother And thank you for this tutorial, learning new things. 😇
🎉 Thank you for your insights. Gameplay looks cool, can't wait for the course ❤ Definitely going to try playmaker 🙏😇
Hi, I started learning Unity & I have no coding knowledge, Should I focus on learning C# or Start with Playmaker than switch to C# in the Future. Is playmaker is enough to make a full game... like A short hike, Night Stones, Old Man's Journey & Thronefall or I have to learn C# to implement all the gameplay features. Thank you… Please post more videos
@@RahulPradipPatil you don't need to learn c# to implement most of the game mechanics that exist. Only if you need very unique mechanics you'll need to learn c#. I recommend starting with Playmaker and once you are familiar with fsms its easier to learn c#. I've started from Playmaker and transitioned to C#. But I still use playmaker because it is super fast. Especially if I need a quick prototype. I'll make a video on this topic actually. Thank you for bringing it up! I am not sure about the rest of the games but I've played only short hike and thronefall and they totally can be made using only playmaker. I will pick one of these and do a tutorial on that before the weekend. I hope that will be helpful.
@@gameswithfrank Thank you... I understand your point of view, I will start with playmaker then gradually start learning C# after 3-6 months. Please do video on quick prototype & Game tutorial videos. Thanks again...
Hi, so I've looked at Night stones and Old Man's Journey. I felt only Old Man's Journey was a bit different from the other game since its more of a point and click kinda game. A Short Hike and Night Stones are very close to each other. Thronefall is something different as it deals with base building. So I think I can take up like mechanics of short hike/night stones and cover the different systems. Initially it can be about movement, camera zones (these play a huge role although we might not notice it), dialogue system and coin collection system. That was my plan for the tutorial series and then we can build from that (i wanted to cover some other aspects like visuals and sound design as theyre really brilliant in some of these games). Also if you want me to cover something specific let me know!
@gameswithfrank brother you mentioned all the important points, please cover them all. That will help me alot.. 🙏👍 Thank you for your time, now can't wait 😇

I recently bought this course. 'crossyroad_proto' is not read from Unity I can't speak English, so I use a translator. Please understand if it sounds a little weird. 'crossyroad_proto' is not read from Unity. What should I do? Extracting and loading from a project will not read. I'm using an M1 MacBook. Will this chip have an impact on not being able to read this project?
Awesome Frank👌👌👌
Thank you very much 😃
Bro is the tutorial coming?

@@remiralte8929 yay Im not the only one 😁😁
Thanks for this, learnt some really helpful tips from this video.
Do we have to code?
Nope not a single line
Hey what if we want to build it for android In action what do we have add instead of key down to build it for iPhone
It is better to use a "Touch Event" and set the state to begin. Send that event to the state where you are actually implementing the jump. That should do it. In case you want to add a delay between the jumps you can add a Wait action between the jump state and the input state.
Amazing! Since it's been a long time ago, will you update it in the near future with the ability to insert an entry and exit animation? Would be great!
Yes. I will post the link of the tutorial here when it's done!
How did you achieve this?
Great video... Subscribed.. Waiting for Part 2
Thanks a lot for making a great tutorial
It would be nice if you could share the files on every video sometimes we get stuck somewhere and video has no idea of it
Thanks for the comment mate. Will share the project files next episode. Kinda feeling unwell which is the reason I didn't get to record episode 2 yet. But I'll put it out for sure. Make sure you sub so you get the update. It'll help me a lot. Take care.
@@gameswithfrank get well soon. I have already subbed good luck for the series and I would suggest you to make a 3rd person controller for that. Thanks for the response I'll share your channel too thank you
